Summary: A Pixel advert community
allowing users to 'buy a piece' of a world map as a long term investment.
Why does the site exist: We're
not simply 'jumping on the band-wagon'. We felt that there were too many pixel
advert clones and we wanted to be different. We wanted the user to invest into
a unique and well designed site, with a great idea behind it.
What's the scope?: The site currently
exisits as a UK map that is split into pixel grid (100px) slices. We have standard
and premium grids available depending on location. We will expand on this by
producing a pixel map for evey country, and hence build up a pixel atlas of
the world!
What's involved?: Simply choose
an area where you would like to buy a grid, send an email with the grid code
and your image advert, and then pay via PayPal. Your advert will then appear
on our site until at least the year 2010. You can also sell your pixel grid
and potentially make a profit as the site increases in popularity.
Anything else we should be aware of?: Yes!

This is a nicely designed site and it's refreshing to see a pixel site that isn't just another clone of the 'milliondollarhomepage'. I look forward to seeing the atlas community grow! Oh, and nice slogan! |
