Fund-raising project by a Galician Non-profit Association (Fillos de Galicia) which created the most important online community for the Galician descendants from all over the World (more than 3,000 registered members). Galicia is located in the NW of the Iberian Peninsula and has a large diaspora (like the Irish or Hebrew ones) which keeps a strong ethnic identity and cultural tradition.
Our pixel-ads are located on a map of Galicia and people can choose the square-ads near their place of origin.

I think that this "Parcelaria Virtual pola Cultura Galega" is a very important way for gathering the necessary ressources needed by the Cultural Association Fillos de Galicia. Bornt in 1997, the Cultural Association has been almost the only support of a virtual comunity of over 3 thousands members.

After seeing many fundraising initiatives on Internet, I have to say this is one of the most original and creative ones. This website focus is not only commercial, but it mostly focuses on an objective, which is to raise money for a good cause, to offer the best cultural and social services for people from all over the world who share a Galician heritage.
People and businesses who want to publish their products, services and/or websites buying a "lot" on this "virtual land" will not only get the benefit of getting their services known among the numerous site visitors, but also the satisfaction of helping out their countrymates. |

I completely agree with Esteirana's Review. Helping non gubernamental, non-profit Organizations devoted to connect people (the so called "galegos", either by birth or by heart) truly deserves your help. It`s kind of a soul fundrising for willing people all around the world. Help them to support initiatives of this kind.
