Google Page Creator

Posted in General by Editor on the February 23rd, 2006

Google releases a new service: Google Page Creator. It’s a free online tool that helps you create webpages in case if you do not know HTML. And one more nice thing: Google will provide you with free hosting for your page. 100 megabytes of free storage space.

I wonder how fast Google is going to index these pages. If indexing speed turns out fast it will be possible to use this service for making Google crawl your other sites. Just how blogger blogs were used before.

Wanna buy a tag?

Posted in General by Editor on the February 2nd, 2006

There is a new twist on pixel selling. Now it’s tag selling. 1000tags.com gives you the possibility to buy a keyword that relates to your site. The price is $5 per character. There are exclusive tags, shared tags and you can try to get a free tag also.

The implementation looks professional. Your link won’t get any pagerank from listing there, so it’s the battle for visitors only. Alexa data look very impressive. I think that traffic from 1000tags.com will have more chances to convert than from pixel sites, since obviously if a visitor clicks on “Poker” or “T-Shirt” tag he is interested in these themes.

There is currently a discussion of this idea at DigitalPoint.
